I MAKE OVER N100,000 MONTHLY MOVING WASTES, SAYS CART PUSHER

OJODU, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria – A cart pusher by name Danladi Usman who operates in the Ojodu-Berger axis has said he makes over N100, 000 monthly moving waste from the homes of residents to dumpsites on the way to Denro in Ogun State.

The cart pusher who spoke relunctantly to our correspondent said he makes at least N4,000 daily and that he charges as much as N400 for an average plastic drum loaded with invalids, depending on weight.

He said he works 7 days a week unless he is sick. When our correspondent multiplied N4, 000 by 26 days, he arrived at N104, 000 monthly.

He explained that though the job is difficult, messy and physically tasking, the money offers enough compensation.

Usman told our correspondent that he is married to just one woman and that he takes care of her from the money he makes from cart pushing.
