[wysija_form id=”1″]March 20, 2015 – Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola was on Thursday humiliated at the South West Town Hall meeting organised by the All Progressive Congress(APC) as part of activities to rally support for the Presidential candidate of the party ahead of the March 28 general election.
The meeting which was held at Harbour Port, Lagos has the actress as the only notable Nollywood actress in attendance. She has always been present at every state rally put together by the party and has also being the rallying point for the Yoruba artistes that endorsed the governorship candidate of the party in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
She has also distanced herself from the crème of Nollywood that endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in office and has been consistent in a her support of APC.
But the comperes of the show humiliated her by not listing her as one of those to ask Buhari critical question on how he would tackle perennial problems in Nollywood that had deprived practitioners of their hard earned income.
We gathered that she was initially rebuffed for allegedly wearing an attire what the comperes perceived as too short and could embarrass Buhari.
The busty actress wept profusely in regret outside the hall and was on the verge of leaving the venue when one of the comperes, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa sent for her giving her the much deserved opportunity.
He question on Nollywood was however answered by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola who said the problem confronting the sector has to do with piracy and the need for conscious effort enforcement of antipiracy laws.
Leader f the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu also spoke on the need for practitioners to form themselves into cooperatives to be able to access loans for filmmaking.
