KWARA, Ilorin, Nigeria – A 300 Level student of the Department of Sociology, University of Ilorin has voluntarily withdrawn from the University in the fear of God.

The young man, Abolarin Akin Jephthah who tendered his withdrawal letter to the office of Deputy VC, Academic said he did it as a result of his religious conviction and the fact that he could no longer live with a bruised conscience after gaining admission into the university with a WAEC certificate he obtained through fraudulent means.

He said all through his years in secondary school, he was just a (church-gower) without any religious conviction but that his conscience will no longer allow him to reap from a fraudulent seed.

“Sir, just as a house that was built on a faulty foundation will definitely collapse. All through my secondary school days, I am just a church gower without genuine salvation with the fear of God, as a result of this, I got my WAEC result through examination malpractices.

“By the grace of God I have encountered the limelight of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which called for repentance and restitution. Sir with deep conviction, I have realized that there is no  point of building my academic career on a faulty foundation since the WAEC result I got through malpractice is the basis in which my admission into the university anchored. Therefore, I have decided to withdraw from the university and start all over”, Abolarin who quoted his matric number as 13/77/2010 with residential address at 21 Gboyinde Street, Ilorin said in his letter.

We tried to get in touch with him,   through his phone number (08035820415) but he was not available for comment.
