MEXICO – A closed circuit camera footage released by authorities in Mexico has revealed that official wickedness was responsible for the death of 38 migrants and dozens injured in their shelter in Ciudad Juarez.

Initially, President Andrez Manuel Lopez Obrado of Mexico had on public television said that the migrants rioted on hearing that they will be deported and resulted to lock up themselves and set mattresses on fire at the migrant detention centre.

The migrants are merely people coming in from Venezuela and nearby countries. Forty migrants were initially reported but it was reduced to 38 by Mexico’s National Migration Institute  based on visits hospitals where the victims were being treated.

The  latest video, obtained by Reuters showed security officials about three of them walking away without making attempt to open the locks with fire raging inside the centre.

Reacting to the incident, President Obrado said those responsible for the incident will be dealt with accordingly.
