INDIAN OCEAN – It appears the United States of America is preparing for a wider onslaught with the Houthis and perhaps in the Middle East following the decision of Israel to return to war in Gaza in a more brutal way.
Continued bombing of the Gaza Strip after Israel returned to war during a truce has exacerbated tension in the Middle East, with the Houthis standing up in support of Palestine and resumed bombing of Yaffa, the Ben Gurion Airport and other areas in TEL AVIV.
This may have informed the decision of the United States to beef up the Diego Garcia Airbase with a total of seven B-2 Stealth Bombers.
Diego Garcia is the largest island of the Chagos Archipelago, part of the British Indian Ocean Territory.
It has been used as a joint UK–U.S. military base since the 1970s, following the expulsion of the Chagossians by the UK government.
We gathered that three B-2 Stealth Bombers were deployed to the base last night with 4 more on the way to the region.
The B-2 Stealth Bomber is the American long range heavy strategic bomber.
The aircraft is equipped with low observable stealth technology that enables the aircraft to penetrate areas with a high density of air defenses and radars without being detected.
It is reported as the only U.S aircraft that can carry out large air-to-surface attacks on the enemy.
It was reportedly used by the United States in Yugoslavia, Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Last year, the Joe Biden administration deployed it in bombing underground facility belonging to the Houthis in Yemen.
