PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria – Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Hon Boma Iyaye has congratulated Rivers Angels Sports Club for winning the 2018 edition of the AITEO Federation Cup.
A well taken Juliet Sunday strike gave the Port Harcourt club a deserved 1-0 win over Ibom Angels at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Tuesday in the competition’s showpiece game. Hon. Iyaye noted that the Angels have done the State proud and saluted their winning spirit.
“The entire people of Rivers State are pleased with this feat and we want to congratulate Rivers Angels for their victory in the AITEO Cup on Tuesday.
“They have displayed the traditional resilient Rivers spirit of courage, consistency, discipline, doggedness and also shown that they have the DNA of true champions. We are proud of them and I congratulate them on behalf of the good people of Rivers State,” he concluded.
