BEIRUT, Lebanon – The Lebanese Islamic Resistant Movement, Hezbollah has launched a barrage of rockets into Israel, the largest so far, targeting Haifa and central Tel Aviv.
The group launched the rockets shortly after Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a defiant message to Israel, during which he threatened more punishment for Israel in the coming days for killing children, civilians and damaging infrastructure in Lebanon.
He said the capability of Hezbollah remains intact despite Israel’s assassination of some of its leaders and that Hezbollah is actively engaging fierce resistant with the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF adding that the fighters will never give up as children of Hassan Nasrallah.
Speaking on the incident, the IDF acknowledged that approximately 190 rockets were fired into Israel from Lebanon and the largest since the war on Lebanon began.
“Approximately 190 projectiles were fired today by the Hezbollah terrorist organization crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory”, IDF Spokes, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said, adding that the IDF will continue to operate against the threat of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in defense of the State of Israel and its residents.
