IKEJA – A helicopter flying over Lagos today crashed in the evening in Ikeja.
The helicopter which crashed with full force on the popular Oba Akran Way burst into flames immediately after touching the ground.
There was now fire operatives on the scene making the helicopter to burn to death every passenger on board.
It is no clear how many passengers were on board neither is the type of carrier known as the fire was still raging.
Many rushed to the scene to watch the inferno. The helicopter crashed very close to AP petrol station but a little away thus not having any impact on the petrol station and spreading the fire into surrounding residents.
The helicopter did not crash on any vehicle neither did it crash on anybody but on the bare floor littering the area with broken parts of the helicopter.
The scene was yet to be condoned off at the time of writing as aviation experts were yet to arrive.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, at the scene identified the helicopter as a propeller Aircraft Reg. No. 5NCCQ belonging to Airfirst Hospitality ans Tours.
NEMA said the pilot and crew have been evacuated to nearby hospital.
