GAZA CITY — The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 51 people were killed and 180 injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing conflict.
The casualties were logged in a daily statistical report released by the ministry on Wednesday.
The new figures bring the total reported toll since the start of the current hostilities on October 7, 2023, to 66,148 fatalities and 168,716 injuries, according to the ministry. Health officials noted that rescue efforts continue to be hampered, stating that a number of victims are believed to be still under the rubble and on the roads. Ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them in certain areas.
The ministry’s data also underscored the severe impact on civilians seeking essential goods. Within the last 24 hours, four deaths and 57 injuries were reported among individuals involved in aid distribution.
This raises the cumulative toll of those the ministry classifies as “martyrs of livelihood” — often referring to those killed while attempting to access or distribute aid 2,580 deaths and more than 18,930 injuries since the conflict began.
Since March 18, 2025, the ministry reports that 13,280 people have been killed and 56,675 injured.
The figures provided by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza do not differentiate between combatant and civilian casualties, though the vast majority of the casualties are reported to be women and children.
The numbers could not be independently verified. The latest figures come amid continued international calls for a sustained cessation of hostilities and increased access for humanitarian aid across the Gaza Strip.
