US, March, 2016 – Paediatrician, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha has been named winner of the 13th Ridenhour Prize for truth telling.
She won the prize exposing the Flint, MI Water Crisis in the United States. Chicago-based independent journalist, human rights activists and founder Invisible Institute, Jamie Kalven won the Courage Prize.
The film, The Look of Silence, won the Ridenhour documentary film prize. Jill Leovy , author of the book Ghettoside: A true story of Murder in America won the Ridenhour Book Prize.
They will be decorated with the awards on April 20, 2016 at the National Press Club in Washington DC.
