Indianapolis, Sept., 17, 2016 – Running mate of Presidential Candidate of the Republican Party, Governor Michael Pence has released details of his medical examination following public outcry about the health condition of candidates vying for the highest office in the United States.

The result of the medical examination conducted by his physician, Michael Busk, Systems Executive for St Vincent Health, Wellness and Preventive Care Institute revealed that nothing is wrong with Governor Michael Pence.

I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. I am also a Pulmonologist involved in clinical research in COPD and asthma. You live a healthy lifestyle and maintain an excellent diet and exercise program. You do cardiovascular training 4 days per week. Your main form of exercise is bicycling. You also extensively walk and climb stairs. You have met with our staff Dietician and Exercise Physiologist. You follow their diet and exercise prescriptions.

You have a past medical history of seasonal allergic rhinitis, asymptomatic left bundle branch block and diet controlled heartburn. Your past surgical history includes a left inguinal hernia repair in August 2015 and removal of basal cell carcinomas of the face in 2002 and 2010. Review of your family history is remarkable only for your father passing away from a myocardial infarction; however, he did smoke cigarettes. You have never smoked cigarettes and do not drink alcohol. You have no history of drug allergies and the only medication that you take is Claritin only as needed for seasonal allergies.

You follow adult preventative health care guidelines and are up to date with your adult vaccines. Your last colonoscopy was in 2009, which demonstrated no polyps. You will be having a repeat colonoscopy in 2019. You see the Dermatologist annually and you have regular visits with your Dentist.

You see physicians regularly on an annual basis for prevention of disease. You are followed by Preventative Cardiology and see the Cardiologist annually. In 2002, you had a heart scan for a total coronary artery calcium score, which was 0 or no calcium deposits (excellent score). You have had extensive evaluations of the asymptomatic left bundle branch block with the
Cardiologists at St. Vincent Health.

“ In 2014, you had a graded exercise stress test, transthoracic echocardiogram with Doppler and Color Flow, and a complete cardiac MRI with stress. The evaluations showed a paradoxical septal motion consistent with the asymptomatic left bundle branch block. The complete cardiac MRI with stress demonstrated no evidence for ischemia, no evidence for infiltrative cardiomyopathy, normal left ventricular chamber size and cardiac function, and all the heart chambers and heart valves were normal. The evaluations did demonstrate borderline to mild enlargement of the proximal aorta. Repeat echocardiograms have shown it to be stable and you are followed annually with an echocardiogram. The evaluations also demonstrated a benign right renal cyst. The cardiologists feel you have a very good and strong heart.
