ABIA, Nigeria For over two years now we have never slept with two eyes closed in Uturu community of Isuikwuato Council Area of Abia State.
Whereas the government of Abia State led by Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD has been busy travelling from one country to another with security vote meant to secure lives and property of Abians. I wonder how he sleeps at night while the citizens of his State are killed and kidnapped on daily basis.
We have about six check points of Army and police from Uturu to okigwe where this daily occurrence of kidnap and killings happen everyday. Our people are helpless as it seems Uturu indigenes have been abandoned to their fate by the government of the day.
Uturu people will not keep quiet and perish like people without hope or right to life . Sad still is the abandonment of Uturu and Isuikwuato Local Government security by the Isuikwuato LGA boss Chief Chima Agbaeze who chose to play politics with the security of lives and property of the people of his Council area.
I am calling and appealing to the Federal Government of Nigeria to make haste and come to our rescue since Abia State Government has failed us completely. It is obvious from recent developments and happenings that the security agents in and around Isuikwuato LGA has been compromised.
Let everyone hear my voice and the cry of my people Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA.The time for all relevant and concerned authorities to act is now.
