The German goal was scored in the first 15 minutes of the game by Hume.
The French team struggled to equalize and almost leveled up in the dying minutes but they were not that lucky and ended the encounter on a sad note.
The Germans will now wait to know who they will play after the Columbia Brazil encounter which comes up later today.
