MUNICH – The German Super Cup match between Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and German Cup winners RB Leipzig on August 12 will be played in Munich, the German Football League said on Friday.
Bayern will host the game this time around after the two sides met in Leipzig for the Super Cup a year ago, with Bayern winning 5-3.
The matchday coincides with the first round weekend of the German Cup, and the DFL said that the Cup games of Bayern and Leipzig are moved to late September.
