BAFOUSSAM, Cameroun- Gambia this evening moved into the quarter finals at the ongoing African Cup of Nations AFCON, after defeating Guinea 1-0 at the 20,000 capacity Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam, Cameroun.
But it was a very tactical game that saw both sides putting their best into the game but it was Gambia that succeeded in the 71 minutes when Musa Barrow hit the back of the Guinean net and held on tightly till the end of the game.
In terms of statistics, Gambia had 53 percent against Guinea, which got 47 percent. Gambia had 4 shots on target against 2 by Guinea.
Guinea however had 6 corner kicks against 2 by Gambia.
