September 22, 2015 – The Lagos State Government has said that it is providing free bus rides for residents on Thursday to mark the Eid-el-Kabir.

In a statement, the state said the bus ride will be provided through Lagos State Bus Service (LAGBUS) and its Franchisees on Thursday, September 24, 2015, to commemorate this year’s Eid El Kabir celebration.

General Manager, Fleet Operations, Mr. Seyi Osiyemi said in a statement that the move was aimed at promoting the use of public transportation, as well as reducing congestion on Lagos roads during the festivities by the State Government.

It added that the bus ride will be provided on all LAGBUS routes across the metropolis from (6:00a.m – 10:00p.m) on Thursday 24 September, 2015.

LAGBUS also used the opportunity to thank all Lagosians for their patronage and wish them a Happy Eid El Kabir celebration.
