June 11, 2015 – Nigeria’s Flying Eagles who are champions in Africa today lost 1-0 to Germany in the ongoing FIFA Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.

While the African champions are expected back in Nigeria, Germany will now meet Mali, in the quarter final on Sunday.

Levin Oeztunali scored in the 19th minutes to put the German team ahead.

Nigeria fought back in the second half, but they failed to hit target. Germany controlled the first half and created more chances.

Enaholo however denied Germany a second goal in the first 45 minutes when he kept out a fierce, left-footed Stendera strike from inside the box just one minutes to end of the match.

The win however makes Germany very good to win the cup at the end of the tournament.
