ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Ahead of Christmas and New Year Celebrations, Anambra State Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies have commenced joint visibility patrol on black spots and other flash-points in the State
According to the command spokesman Mr. Haruna Mohammed,the patrol is aimed at ensuring that residents are adequately protected during the Yuletide Season. He said ,the patrol will also serve as deterrence and to send a strong signals to the miscreants that it would not be business as usual for them during the yuletide.
Mohammed said that the command was battle ready to deal ruthlessly with criminal elements in the State. The command spokesman also assured that the security agencies in the state would ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP John Abang has appealed to members of the public to report suspicious activities or individuals to the Police through emergency number 07039194332 or to the nearest Police Station for prompt response.
The CP also assure the public that their report would be treated with absolute confidentiality.
