ZAMFARA, Nigeria – Not less than five emirs and 33 district heads are currently under probe in the North, Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Bellow Matawalle has said.
Others who are also being investigated according to the governor includes 4 policemen and 10 military officers.
These Nigerians are suspected to be behind strings of baditry currently ongoing in the north.
Governor Matawalle who made the disclose in the social media said these suspects will fact the full wrath of the law if found to guilty of aiding and abetting banditry in the area.
“No Punishment is too severe”, he said.
“@Bellomatawalle1 5 emirs, 33 district heads, 4 police and 10 military officers are under investigation as we believe they’re involved in the atrocities happening in the state. If found guilty of aiding and abetting bandits, they will face the full wrath of the law. No punishment is too severe”, he said.
