AWKA, Anambra – The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has expressed delight over the remarkable recovery of 10-year-old Chiziterem Franklin Ozuligbo, who was abused and maltreated by his guardian and is currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
The Governor’s wife made this known during another visit to the young boy on Tuesday to assess his condition and offer support to him and his family.
Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, said:
“I paid another visit to young Chiziterem today to monitor his recovery and offer encouragement to his family. I am delighted to see that he is making remarkable progress and is much stronger than when I last visited.”
According to her, Chiziterem’s steady recovery is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the medical team, as well as the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers from kind-hearted individuals across the state and beyond.
She further stated:”As promised, I will continue to keep a close watch on his wellbeing to ensure that he receives the care, protection, and support he needs until he is fully recovered and reunited with his family.”
The First Lady emphasized that every child deserves to live in a safe and nurturing environment, free from abuse, neglect, and all forms of maltreatment.
She urged members of the public to continue speaking up against child abuse and neglect wherever they occur, stressing that the protection of children is a collective responsibility that requires the vigilance and commitment of everyone.
Dr. Soludo also encouraged residents to promptly report cases of child abuse, neglect, or any emergency situation by calling 112 or 5111, the designated emergency response lines in Anambra State.
