LAGOS, Nigeria – The Federal Fire Service has issued an advice to Nigerians, warning them to be careful of how they convey cooking gas cylinders in their vehicles.
The service warned that Nigerians should aviod rolling up windows of vehicles when the car is parked under the sun. According to the Fire service, keeping the car windows rolled up can result in an explosion that could damage the car beyond repairs.
“Federal Fire Service @Fedfireng Keeping your gas cylinder in your vehicle with the car windows rolled up is dangerous, especially when the car is parked under the sun, as it will result to the explosion of the cylinder. Always transport gas cylinders in an upright position, secured properly”, the Fire service said.
