No cause for alarm, says Management

LEKKI, Lagos, Nigeria – There was a little bit of apprehension on Wednesday afternoon when news of fire at the Dangote Refinery at the Lekki Free Trade Zone, in Lagos.
Many had thought that the fire incident would negatively impact on the fuel injection expected into the country by the refinery.
But in a statement, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Dangote Industry Group, Mr. Anthony Chiejina described the incident as a minor fire which has since been contained.
According to him, “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant, ETP, today Wednesday, 26th of June.
“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to any of our staff on duty”, he said.
