October 23, 2014 – Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose will tomorrow Friday swear in Barrister Bamidele Omotosho as a High Court Judge in Ekiti State.

He will be sworn in more than two years after he was recommended by the National Judicial Council(NJC).

In a statement, Special Assistant to the governor on Social Media, Mr. lere Olayinka said that in March, 2012, the National Judicial Council (NJC) recommended the appointment of Emmanuel Adesodun, Mr. Bamidele Omotoso, and Kayode Ogundana as High Court Judges.

He explained that Fayemi refused to honour the NJC recommendations by refusing to swear in Omotosho and Ogundana.

According to him, the reasons were that Omotosho and Ogundana appeared before the Election Petitions Tribunals as counsel for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) against the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

He added that Fayemi later sworn in Ogundana but declined to swear in Omotosho for personal reasons.
