December 13, 2014 – Arakele road, Akure was the scene of horror Saturday evening following an explosion that rocked the area.
According to an eye witness, the explosion occurred in a gas station situated on Arakele road and that fire engulfed the area within minutes of the explosion.
It is not clear how many were affected by the incident, by the eye witness said it was a populated neighbourhood and that many were injured by the rampaging inferno.
As at the time of filling this report, men of Akure Fire Service are said to have arrived the scene and are presenting tacking the incident to prevent further spread in the neighbourhood.
