FASHOLA’S FATHER DIES AT 80 FOR BURIAL TOMORROW

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has lost his father, Alhaji Ibrahim Ademola Bayo Fashola. He was 80. Fashola died in one of the hospitals in Lagos.

He is survived by wives, eight children and grand children. Among the children are Arinola Fuwa, Olayinka Fashola, Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Ademola Fashola, Omolara Fashola, Adewale Fashola, Ademola Fashola Jnr and Ademola Keji Fashola.

A statement released in behalf of the family by Chief of Staff in the Governor’s office, Mr. Mikhail Olanrewaju Babalola said the deceased will be buried tomorrow, Tuesday, 6th of August, 2013 at Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos by 1PM.

“In total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passage of our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Ibrahim Ademola Bayo Fashola which occurred today Monday the 5th day of August 2013 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wives, children, grand children and great grand children.

He will be buried on Tuesday, the 6th of August 2013 at Vaults and Gardens Ikoyi by 1pm. The Children: Arinola Fuwam, Olayinka Fashola, Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Ademola Fashola, Omolara Fashola, Adewale Fashola, Ademola Fashola Jnr, Ademola Keji Fashola.

Meanwhile the Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) has commiserated with the governor on the loss of his father. A statement signed by Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr. Kunle Famoriyo, the ARG said it received with shock the passing away of Pa Ademola Fashola, whom it described as the father of ‘our amiable Governor in Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)’.

“We commiserate with our Governor and all members of his family on the transition of their patriarch to the greater beyond. Our solace lies in the comfort that the passing of our father in the Holy Month of Ramadan is a reassurance that he is resting in the bosom of Allah after a life well spent”, the statement said adding that Pa Fashola’s legacies are clearly evidenced by the leadership, diligence and disciplined characters his son is exhibiting across all sphere of governance in Lagos State.

“ARG prays that the Almighty Allah continues to abide with the Fashola family as He gives them the strength and faith to bear this huge loss”, the group said.
