Fashola to Buhari: I Want to Rest after May 29

May 28, 2015 – Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has insisted that he wants to rest after May 29. Fashola who was the main anchorperson of the All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign has been touted by many to top the ministerial list of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Fashola who was holding a valedictory session with state house correspondents said that he has been in government for 12 years, adding that he served four years as chief of staff and governor for eight years.

According to the governor, the APC has crop of brilliant young men that would be equal to the task of governance.

Fashola who prior to the general elections insisted that he wants to rest after May 29 said he knew that his party will win when he made the pronouncement and that he has not changed his mind even now that APC will be taking charge of centre both  executive and the legislature.

He said that that history has shown that Nigerians will always get what they want once they are united.

He said that Nigerians won when they insisted that the worst military dictator must leave, and that they also won whey they insisted that Dr. Goodluck Jonathan must be sworn in as President following the death of former President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua as well as the present change which has brought about General Muhammadu Buhari.
