February 3, 2015 – Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola today received, Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Joseph Mbu Joseph in his office in Alausa, Ikeja.

The governor and some members of his cabinet had some useful discussion with Mbu but the content of the discussion was not made public.

Those who received Mbu with the governor, are Chief of Staff, Mr. Lanre Babalola, Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Adebiyi Mabadeje and Commissioner for Agriculture, Prince Gbolahun Lawal.

Mbu resumed in Lagos last week after some few months sojourn in Abuja. He will oversee commissioners of police in Lagos and that of Ogun State.

Speaking in Lagos last week, Mbu said he was in Lagos to do his police work to prevent commission of crime. He also had a strong warning for residents of Lagos and Ogun state including politicians when he said he will not allow anybody to abuse his men.

He said he will withhold officers from people who are not entitled to police orderly and that he will also not allow anybody to insult his men.
