Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat who made the revelation at a press conference in Lagos said the pedestrian bridges  would assist road users to traverse from one axis to another.

He said  that contract for construction of the bridges has been awarded to Hitech Engineering which constructed the road.

On the disputed Osborne Jetty, the commissioner explained that a Lagos High Court has ruled on the issue, thus paving way for Lagos State Government to return to site.

He said the trial judge ruled that the jetty was already on the ground before development caught up with it and overruled the residents who had argued through their lawyers that the construction of the jetty was not in their interest.

He said that several projects in the state have either been stalled  or slowed down by litigations.
