Edo State, June 11, 2016 – Technical Director of the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) , Amodu Shuaibu is dead.
He was 58. The former coach of the Super Eagles, died on Saturday night.

According to NFF, Amodu died in his sleep on Saturday in Edo State.He was said to have complained of chest pains, before he went to bed on Friday night.

“That is correct.He slept and he could not wake up,” NFF secretary general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said.

Shuaibu, one of the greatest tactician of Nigerian football died just few days after his colleague, Stephen Keshi passed on.

Keshi is yet to be buried. Shuaibu came to limelight with his former club, BCC FC Lions of Gboko. He is survived by wife and children.

Amodu and Keshi worked together as Nigeria’s head coach and assistant coach respectively at the 2002 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
