April 2, 2015 – Former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Yusuf is dead. He died in his home in Abuja late last night after a protracted illness. He was 85.
He will be buried today by 2pm in Katsina. Yusuf served as Inspector General of Police from 1976 to 1979 and was chairman of Nigeria LNG in 1994.
A politician, Yusuf was chairman Grassroots Democratic Movement and chairman of the Northern cultural and political association, the Arewa Consultative Forum.
