ONITSHA, Anambra – The Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps NYSC, Anambra State, Mrs. Yetunde Baberinwa has begged the governor of the state Dr. Willie Obiano to save the orientation camp in the state from erosion menace .
The coordinator made the appeal on Monday at the swearing in ceremony of 2, 207 Corp members deployed to the state at the Nnamdi Azikwe NYSC unity permanent orientation Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu,Awka South Local Government Area.
According to Baberinwa, erosion menace is seriously threatening the beautiful camp in the state. She said that a causal look at the camp reveals that different portions have already been ravaged by erosion.
She said that if the erosion menace was not urgently checked it will destroy the beauty the camp has attracted over the years
“We therefore passionately appeal to the governor to expedite action on the landscaping of the premises currently under serious threat of erosion. I wish to remind the governor on the need to address the menace caused by erosion inside the orientation camp” she said.
