IBADAN, Oyo, Nigeria – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has named Friday Ebelo as Head of Operation, Ibadan Zonal Office. He was elevated following the transfer of Abdulrasheed Bawa to the Port Harcourt Zonal Office as head of EFCC.
Speaking at the event, Ebelo, who was head of the Gombe Zonal Office, stressed that it is important for members of staff to see themselves as one family.
“We need concerted effort to bring corruption to its knee. We must fight corruption with all zeal and determination”. He said: “I will ensure that during my stay, we record tremendous successes.
“I cannot do this alone. I need your cooperation. The little time I spent at my former zone, we recorded some successes and I want us to do more in Ibadan Zone. We need to work very closely together as no one person can do this alone”, he said.
In his parting words, Bawa appreciated officers for their support and cooperation, and urged them to “continue in that spirit with the newly posted zonal head”.

DCDS Friday Ebelo has taken over as the Head of Operations at the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The formal handing over of the affairs of the zone to Ebelo, followed the transfer of DCDS Abdulrasheed Bawa to the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC as head.
