February 4, 2015 – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Governor of Adamawa State, Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako(rtd) and his son wanted.
In a statement, EFCC’s Director, Public Affairs, Osita Nwaje identified son of the former governor wanted as Abdul Aziz Murtala Nyako, a retired Naval officer.
The statement said the former governor and his son are wanted in relation to cases of criminal conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and money laundering.
The EFCC had in June alleged massive looting of the treasury in Adamawa before the former governor was impeached.
