MANDALLA, Niger, Nigeria – The biting economic hardship recorded another casualty on Sunday when a 26 year old man committed suicide in Niger State.
The young man, identified as Okafor was said to have left a suicide not in which he said he was taking his life due to unbearable economic hardship.
Okafor hanged himself on a tree on Sunday, at the Rock Avenue, Madalla area in Niger State, a development many passersby who came to the scene found very pathetic.
Abullahi Shuabu, who spoke with Daily Trust, said the deceased dropped a suicide note just before he pulled his shirt and hung himself on a tree.
