AMERICAN warplanes have smashed the Iranian regime’s “command and control” nerve centres in a series of devastating strikes across the Middle East.
In a massive show of force, US Central Command confirmed they have wiped out the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) top headquarters, air defense batteries, and “suicide drone” launch pads.
The blitz, dubbed Operation Epic Fury, has seen more than 1,000 targets hammered by US and Israeli forces since Saturday.
A spokesperson for US Central Command (CENTCOM) declared: “The IRGC no longer has a headquarters. Yesterday, a large-scale strike cut off the head of the snake.”
The relentless aerial assault focused on:
IRGC Nerve Centres: Command facilities used by the regime to plot global terror.
Drone Launch Pads: Nests for the deadly “Shahed” drones used to haunt the skies of Ukraine and the Gulf.
Missile Silos: Secret sites housing the Ayatollah’s long-range ballistic rockets.
Airbases: Military airfields left in smouldering ruins to prevent Iranian jets from taking flight.
The high-stakes mission follows the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in the opening salvos of the joint US-Israeli offensive.
Top brass at CENTCOM warned that the mission is far from over, stating: “We will continue to take decisive action against imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime.”
However, the victory has come at a heavy cost.
CENTCOM confirmed that six US service members have been killed in action since the fighting erupted, with several others wounded by Iranian counter-strikes.
The Pentagon says the mission is simple: dismantle the regime’s ability to wage war and protect the world from the “imminent threat” of a nuclear-armed Tehran.
The current operation, Operation Epic Fury, began on February 28, 2026, as a joint military campaign by the United States and Israel.
The strikes were triggered by the total collapse of diplomatic talks regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the “snapback” of international sanctions. Intelligence reports indicated Iran was on the verge of “breakout” capacity for a nuclear weapon.
The Fallout: The initial wave of strikes targeted a leadership meeting in Tehran, reportedly killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top IRGC generals.
Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks on US bases in the region, leading to casualties on both sides and sparking fears of a wider regional war.
