LAGOS, Nigeria – Legendary juju musician and Soko music exponent, Mr. Dayo Kujore is dead. He was 63. The musician who usually performs at Lekki regularly died early today.
According to her daughter, Ayinke Dayo Kujore, the gbedu master died earlier today.
She simply wrote: RIP Dad, to announce his passing.
His latest music was Wisdom, a remix of Kogbon Atoye Sokalewa plus a bonus track, Happy Birthday. The musical rendition featured Kola Ogunkoya, the gbedu master on Alto saxophone. The music was put together in Lagos with a remix in Washington.
Meanwhile condolence messages have started pouring in for the late musician.
The Legendary Jùjú musician was born on 4th April in Robiyan, Ogun State, Nigeria. His band is known as Wonder Dayo Kujore and his Unity brothers band.
“Ah, am speechless. Accept my condolences Ayinke, may God Almighty console you and the family. Amen”, Oshadipe twins said. Aloma simply said” Sad, Soko extra is gone, my condolences, Ayinke.
