MINNESOTA – Governor of Minnesota, Mr. Tim Walz has reacted to daylight murder of black driver, Daunte Wright.

Daunte Wright was murdered by Police on Sunday, during Black Lives Matter protest in Minnesota, following ongoing trial of fired policeman, Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd.

Daunte Wright(20) had pulled over for traffic violation at Brooklyn Centre near the venue of ongoing trial of policeman for the murder of George Floyd but was shot dead and his body left on the street for over five hours, fueling protest and civil unrest.

Already a curfew is in place following clash between activists and policemen who have fired teargas at protesters.

Speaking on the incident, Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz said he is closely monitoring the situation at Brooklyn Centre, adding that he and Gwen are praying for the Daunte family  even as the state mourns another life of a black man taken by law enforcement.

“ I am closely monitoring the situation in Brooklyn Center. Gwen and I are praying for Daunte Wright’s family as our state mourns another life of a Black man taken by law enforcement”, the governor said.

The Minnesota Police is yet to react to the incident.
