LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 636 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 181, 297. But out of the 181, 297 cases, 166,709 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 211 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12, 377 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 11 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 206, 147,010 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 344, 673 patients have died, while 4,608, 515, 031 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, reporting 36, 584, 478 confirmed cases, while 620, 981 patients have passed on(257, 769 new and 1796 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 32, 117, 826 all time cases, while 430, 254 patients have been killed by the pandemic(40, 120 new and 585 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 20, 319, 000 cases while 567,862 patients are no more alive(73, 915 new and 2114 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 6, 471, 262 all time infections and 112, 705 deaths(2626 new and 8 deaths*). Russia which has reported 6, 468, 890 all time cases, while 165, 996 patients have passed on(21, 669 new and 795 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has registered 6, 241,379 all time cases, while 131, 116 patients have passed on(32, 634 new and 101 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 039, 827 all time cases, while 52, 860 patients have died from the virus(21, 372 new and 157 deaths*) followed by Argentina with 5, 074, 725 all time cases, while 108, 815 patients have kicked the bucket(21, 841 new and 427 deaths*) and Colombia, which has reported 4, 860, 622 all time cases and 123,221 deaths(8299 new and 268 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 693, 540 all time cases while 82, 470 patients are no more(15, 657 new and 63 deaths*) and South Africa, which has documented 2, 582, 427 all time cases, while 76, 631 patients have died(13, 916 new and 384 deaths*).
