UMUAHIA, Abia – An Abia State High Court, sitting in Umuahia today ordered the Federal Government and the Nigeria Army to pay N1billion to leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for invading his house in September 2017.

The presiding judge, Justice  Benson Aya also ordered the Nigerian Army and the Federal Government to tender an apology to  the IPOB leader for violating his fundamental human rights.

Justice  Anya made the order while delivering judgment on the suit filed by Kanu against the federal government, the Army and others for invading his family home in 2017.
