Coronavirus claims 1183 lives in India as Nigeria records 35 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 35 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to  167, 465. But out of the  167, 465 all time cases, 163, 946 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2119 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1400 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

“NCDC#COVID19Nigeria case update as at Saturday, 26th July, 2021: 35 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-30;Kwara-3;Gombe-1 and Kano-1: 167,465 confirmed;163,946 discharged; 2,119 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 180, 569, 875 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3,912, 314 lives are already dead, while 2,849,349, 881  doses of Coronavirus pandemic have been administered worldwide based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 607, 739 all time cases, while 603, 647  patients have passed on(6047 new and 131 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 30, 183, 143  total cases, while 394, 493 lives have perished(48, 698 new and 1183 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 18, 322, 760   all time cases, while 511, 142 lives are no more .

France has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 5, 830, 394 all time infections, while 111, 113 lives are no more (2130 new and 12 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has registered 5, 404, 144  all time cases, while 49, 524 patients have died(5266 new and 51 deaths*) and Russia with 5, 367,317  all time cases, while 130,479 patients have passed on(21, 312 new and 610 deaths*).

The United Kingdom  remains the 7^th country  most afflicted, reporting 4, 734, 009  all time infections and 128, 353 total deaths(18,019 new and 23 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has reported 4, 374, 587  confirmations and 91, 979  deaths(24, 023 new and 541 deaths*) and Italy with 4, 257, 289 confirmed cases  and  127, 458  deaths(838 new and 40 deaths*).

Colombia has come up as the 10^th country most afflicted, reporting 4,092, 746 all time infections and 103, 321 deaths(32, 733 new and 685 deaths*) and South Africa(19) with  1, 913, 861  all time cases, while 59, 778  patients have passed on(17, 956 new and 157 deaths*).
