LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 134 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 169, 678. But out of the 169, 678 all time cases, 164, 710 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 128 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2840 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

“NCDC: 146 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 134, Ondo – 3, Cross River- 2, FCT – 2, Kwara – 2,  Ogun – 1,  Oyo – 1, Rivers – 1; 169, 678  confirmed; 164, 710 discharged; 2, 128 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 190, 781, 839 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 093,496 deaths, while 3, 644, 918, 207 doses of Coronavirus  vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, globally, reporting 34,124,341 all time cases and 609,204  deaths(45, 509 new cases and 186 deaths*), followed by India with 31, 144, 229  all time infections, while 414,108 patients have passed on(38, 164 new cases and 499 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 19, 376, 574 all time cases, while 542,214 lives  have perished.

France is the 4^th country most hit, reporting 5,931, 923  confirmed cases, while 111, 678 patients have died(1994 new cases and 16 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has documented 5,908, 691  all time cases, while 146,686 patients are no more(24, 098 new cases and 711 deaths*) and Turkey with 5,537,386 confirmations, while 50, 604  patients have perished(15, 374 new cases and 116 deaths*).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7^th country most afflicted, now reporting 5, 494, 847 all time cases and 129, 007 deaths(39,811 new cases and 22 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has reported 4, 756, 378 confirmed cases and 101, 549 deaths(6935 new cases and 115 deaths*) and  Colombia with 4, 639, 466 confirmed cases, while 116, 307 patients are no more.

Italy has come up as the 10^th country most hit, reporting 4, 289, 528  all time cases, while 127, 874 patients are no more(2070 new cases 7 deaths*) and South Africa(18), which has registered 2,302,304  total cases, while 67,080 patients have perished(7209 new cases and 221 deaths*).
