LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 111 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 57,724.
But out of the 57,724 all time cases, 48,985 patients have been discharged, while 1,102 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 637 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follow, Lagos-31, Gombe-18, Kaduna-18, FCT-15, Rivers-14, Imo-3, Kwara-3, Oyo-3, Bayelsa-2, Ogun-2 and Edo-1, making a total of 111 new cases of the virus

Globally, there are presently 31, 735, 542 all time cases, 973, 443 patients have passed on while 21, 798, 488 others have survived, based on the statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the Centre, the United States still remains the nation most hit by the virus, reporting 6, 925, 840 cases, 201, 617 patients have lost their lives, while 2, 646, 959 others have survived, leaving the U.S with 4, 077, 264 active cases of the virus(40, 341 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 5, 646, 010 cases confirmed over time, 90, 020 patients have died, while 4, 587,613 others have regained their health, leaving India with 968, 377 patients to manage for Coronavirus(83, 347 new cases) and Brazil with 4, 591, 364 cases over time, 138, 105 patients have been killed by the virus, while 4, 016, 831 others are now in good health, leaving Brazil with 436, 428 patients needing medical attention to overcome the virus(33, 324 new cases).
Russia now the 4th country most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic has documented 1, 117, 487 cases over time, 19, 720 patients are already dead, while 920, 602 others have been able to overcome the virus, leaving Russia with 177, 165 patients to treat for Coronavirus, followed by Colombia with 777, 537 all time cases, 24, 570 patients could not survive the virus , while 650, 801 others have overcome the virus, leaving Colombia with 102, 166 patients to assist to the point of recovery(7, 102 new cases), followed by Peru, which has documented 776, 546 cases of Coronavirus, 31, 568 people have already been killed by the virus, while 629, 094 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Peru with 115, 884 patients hoping for the best to get back on their feet(7, 651 new cases).

Mexico, now the 7th country worst hit by Coronavirus has reported 705, 263 all time cases, 74, 348 people are no more, no thanks to the virus, while 598, 953 others have been discharged, leaving Mexico with 31, 962 active cases of the virus, (4, 683 new cases) followed by Spain which has reported 693, 556 cases of the virus since the first case was reported, 31, 034 people have died, while about 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with about 512, 146 cases of Coronavirus(11, 289 new cases) and South Africa with 665, 188 confirmed cases, 16, 206 patients have kicked the bucket, while 594,229 others have regained their health, leaving South Africa with 54,753 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping to survive (1, 906 new cases).
Argentina comes next as the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 652, 174 cases over time, 13, 952 patients have been killed by the virus, while 517,228 others have been discharged, leaving Argentina with 120, 994 active cases of the virus(12, 027 new cases), followed by France with 508,322 all time cases of the pandemic, 31,442 lives have been lost while 96,355 others have been discharged, leaving France with 380, 525 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 340 new cases) and Chile which has reported 449, 903 cases recorded over time, 12, 345 patients are already dead, while 425, 165 others have recovered, leaving Chile with 12, 393 cases of Coronavirus to deal with(1,380 new cases).
Coming next is Iran, now 13th country most hit by the virus with 432, 798 confirmed cases, 24, 840 people already dead and 365, 846 recoveries, leaving Iran with 42, 102 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 605 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom with 412, 240 all time cases, 41, 951 deaths, while only 2, 239 patients have been assisted to overcome the virus, leaving the U.K with 368, 050 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 186 new cases), followed by Italy, now the 20th country most hit by the virus.
Italy has documented 302, 537 all time cases, 35, 758 deaths and 220, 665 recoveries, leaving Italy with 46, 114 active cases of the pandemic (1, 640 new cases) and China, now the 40th country most hit by the virus with 90, 402 all time cases, 4, 737 patients are no more, while 85, 297 others have regained their health, leaving China with 368 active cases of Coronavirus.
