LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 23 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases  in the country to 213, 487.

But out of the 213, 487 all time cases,  206,  301 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 973 other patients could not make alive, leaving Nigeria with 4213 active cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 257,046, 949  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  5, 145, 176  patients have passed on while 7,367, 480,672 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 47, 682,335 all time cases of Coronavirus, while 770,895 patients are no more alive(99, 986 new and 1832 deaths#), followed by India, now reporting 34, 499,925 all time cases, while 465,349 other patients could not make it alive(10, 302 new and 267 deaths#) and Brazil, which has registered 22, 003, 317 all time infections and 612, 370 deaths(13, 355 new and 226#).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 9, 857,604 all time cases and 144,308 deaths(40, 376 new 160 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has reported 9, 135,149 total cases of infections and 257,891 deaths(35, 896 new and 1222 deaths#) and Turkey, now reporting  8, 529,000  total infections, while 74,646 other patients could not make it alive(23, 810 new and 218#) .

France, the 7^th country most hit has documented 7, 497, 912 all time cases, while 119,407 patients have given up the ghost(22, 701 new and 24 deaths#) , followed by Iran, which has reported  6, 073,098 total cases of infections, while 128,852 lives have perished(3539 new and 118 deaths#) and Argentina, which has confirmed 5, 313,607 all time cases and 116, 360 deaths(1518 new and 19 deaths#).

Spain remains the 10^th country most afflicted, now reporting 5, 080, 663 all time cases of Coronavirus, while 87, 810 patients have perished(840 new) and South Africa, which is the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has recorded  2, 929,175 total cases, while 89, 572 patients are no more(887 new and 10 deaths#).
