LAGOS, Nigeria – Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) has scheduled its 7th Book Trek for August 17, 2019. Billed to hold at Quintessence Gallery, Park View Estate, Off Gerald Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Same day, Chioma Okonkwo, will hold public reading for her book, “Like Never Before”. The event which will hold in thesame venue from 2.30pm to 5pm. According to the organisers, the event will be very interactive with alot of refreshment.
Like Never Before is light reading: a simple romance novel, but Okonkwo’s is a new voice that deserves to be heard, the organisers said.
Chioma Okonkwo has been able to weave her identity, desire and international politics into a remarkable story of empathy in this novel.
Chioma Okonkwo grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to France where she studied Business Administration. Her writing is inspired by her travel experiences.
