YAOUNDE, Cameroun -The well coordinated Comoros team had the upper hand after an explosive encounter with the Black Stars of Ghana at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Yaoundé, ending the encounter 3 -2.
The very determined Comoros team took the lead in the 4th minutes when Ben found the back of the Ghanaian net. Efforts by the Black Stars to come back into the game was deflated in the 25th minutes when Andrew Ayew was sent out of the game.
The Comoros team capitalized on the shaky 10-man Ghana team and their effort was crowned in 62nd minutes, when Ahmed Mogni hit the back of the net, making it 2-0.
Ghana pulled one back in the 64th minutes through Richmond Boaakye bringing scores to 2-1. Alexander Djiku made it 2-2 in the 77th minutes raising hope for Ghana until the 85th minutes when Ahmed Mogni struck for the second time to put total scores at 3-2.
In terms of statistics, Ghana has 10 shots on target against 4 by Comoros. Ball possession was 66 percent in favour of Ghana, which also had 11 corner kicks as against 2 by Comoros
