LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 65 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 167, 532. But out of the 167, 532 cases, 163, 984 patients have been treated and discharged while 2119 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1, 429 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
NCDC: 65 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-44; Yobe-10; Rivers-5; Oyo-4 and Kano-2; 167,532 confirmed; 163,984 discharged and 2,119 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 181, 367, 824 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3,928,253 patients have passed on while 2, 952, 084, 145 doses of Coronavirus pandemic have been administered worldwide based on the latest update from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33,639, 513 all time cases, while 604, 105 patients have died(15, 080 new and 140 deaths* ), followed by India which has reported 30, 279, 331 confirmed cases, while 396, 730 patients have died(46, 148 new and 979 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 18, 448, 402 confirmations, while 514,092 patients have passed on(27, 904 new and 618 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country most affected, reporting 5, 832, 481 all time cases, while 111, 174 patients have lost their lives(509 new and 44 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 5, 414, 310 all time infections, while 49, 634 lives have been wasted(5283 new and 58 deaths*) and Russia, which has reported 5, 408, 744 confirmations and 131, 671 deaths(21, 258 new and 601 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 771, 289 confirmed cases, while 128, 367 patients have lost their lives(22, 655 new and 3 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has documented 4, 423, 636 all time cases, while 93, 142 patients have lost their lives(30, 494 new and 825 deaths*) and Italy which has reported 4, 258, 456 confirmed cases, while 127, 500 others have kicked the bucket(387 new and 28 deaths*) .
Colombia remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 187, 194 confirmed cases while 105, 326 patients are no more(60, 854 new and 1312 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 1, 941, 119 confirmations, while 60, 038 lives are no more(12, 222 new and 138 deaths*).
