October 5, 2014 – Conduct Bureau has directed The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his deputy and other government appointees to declare their assets before vacating office.
Director in charge of the bureau in Ekiti State, Mr. Akinfolarin Feyisola who gave the directive said anybody that fails to do so at the end of his tenure should be brought before the Code of Conduct tribunal.
Feyisola told NAN that it is mandatory for every political office holder in all parts of the country to declare his or her assets when assuming and leaving office.
He explained that some public officers have already started collecting asset declaration forms after receiving the reminder of the constitutional provision.
He called on those who are yet to collect or complete their assets forms to do so immediately.
