Recall, that last week, Arthur Eze, Nigerian Labour Congress NLC Anambra state chapter, People Democratic Party PDP and other civil societies had urged the governor to conduct state local government elections.
The State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Mr. C.Don Adinuba said that the local government elections in the state were not being conducted because a group in the state took government to court over non conduct of elections and that the case is still pending.
According to him, as a law abiding government, it cannot go ahead to conduct elections when there is a pending court action.
