ABA, Abia, Nigeria – Mr. Sunday Thankgod(55) a young Christian, worshipping at Apostolic Christian Church Mission, situated at 34, Omuma Road, in Aba South Magisterial District has been dragged before an Abia State Magistrate Court for neglecting the opening prayers of the presiding bishop.
In the case cited as Commissioner of Police Vs Sunday Thankgod, the suspect, according to court documents conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by neglecting the opening prayer of the Bishop and thereby caused public disturbance in the church.

By neglecting the opening prayers, Sunday Thankgod was alleged to have committed and offence punishable under section 249(d) of the Criminal Code Cap 80 Volume 3 Laws of Abia State of Nigeria, 2005.
Sunday Thankgod pleaded not guilty to the charges during arraignment.
