The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has approved and verified 66 films for the month of February, 2014. Out of the 66 films, 34 were denominated in English Language, 18 in Yoruba, 13 in Hausa and one in Ibibio.

Out of the whole, only Ebube, denominated in English Language was rated 12, while 27 others were rated 15. The remaining 38 movies were classified 18.

Among those rated 15 are ‘A Little Shift’, Halwa, Ogomide, Away Match, Ere, Joy of Madness and Zaman Aure. Some of the films rated 18 are Agbebo, A Night With Governor, Mai Ciki, Supreme Verdict, Eaga and Ina Mazan Suke.

A statement signed by Acting Head, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Ceasar Kagho noted that movies are rated 15 if they contain materials having to do with charms, rituals, strong violence, imitable techniques and sex while those rated 18 contain scenes with strong language, imitable techniques, sex and strong violence.

Other films classified by the board include Strange Mission, Abdulmalik 2, Ade Ferani, Open Actor, Taseri, Open Alter, Together Apart, Tasere, Abban Syama and Chasing Shadows among others.
